WERA HF Radar Test Instruments

The following test instruments are required to calibrate and operate the WERA HF radar:

1. 1 100 MHz Oscilloscope (e.g. TEK 7603 or newer), capable to display X-Y mode
2. 1 Step Attenuator for 1 dB steps (e.g. HP 355 C)
3. 1 Step Attenuator for 10 dB steps (e.g. HP 355 D)
4. 1 HF Powermeter (e.g. Bird Model 43 + Module 100H [2-30 MHz, 100W])
4a. 1 Power Attenuator -30dB (~100W) for lab tests of the power amp.
5. 1 Multimeter to measure e.g. line power voltage
6. 1 Calibration Box (power splitter 1:16, 0 degrees, resistive)
7. 20 Coax N-male to BNC-female Adapters
8. 20 BNC 50 Ohms terminators 1 Watt
9. 3 to 5 N-N, BNC-BNC connectors (male-male and female-female)
10. 5 BNC RG 58/U cables, 1 m and 3 m long
11. 1 Portable SW Receiver with SSB capability to check frequencies (optional)
12. 1 Spectrum Analyzer (e.g. TEK 496 or newer) to check frequencies (optional)
13. 1 For antenna array calibration with a ship, an oven controlled synthesizer, at least 1 Hz steps, output power -30 dBm ... + 27 dBm, e.g. HP 3335A +MAW 592 (optional)
