WERA HF Radar Test Instruments: Calibration Box

To calibrate all receiver channels including the cables to the antennas, a Calibration Box is required.
The purpose is to provide test signals with equal amplitude and phase to all antenna inputs as described in the section '5. WERA Calibration' of the WERA Set-Up Guide.

Calibration Box Diagram

The 16 N-type plugs are located on a circle of 10 cm radius around the central feed point (T.S.).
All connections from T.S. to the individual plugs must have the same mechanical length to ensure a phase difference of ZERO between the calibration signals.

Here you find a PostScript version of the circuit diagram.
