With box-office hits such as Avatar and Alice in Wonderland putting 3D entertainment on the map, it's no wonder tv producers were quick to visit the bandwagon. Several businesses including LG, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic, have all introduced their own variations of the 3D tv, and TV networks, such as ESPN, have previously announced fully 3D stations. However, all this enthusiasm brings concern. Will there be consumer demand? Will it be affordable finically? Is the global world ready for 3D television? I don't think so, and here's why.

Why fix what's not broken

Even though 3D television seems like the way of the future, it begs the question still; when did regular TV become broken and boring? To solution the rhetorical issue, it hasn't, and likely never will. Provided that talented authors continue steadily to make interesting content, people shall keep viewing. Why "cheapen" the knowledge with another gimmick. We don't need to repair what's not broken.

Other markets remain playing catch-up

While there's no lack in 3D television sets, there exists a shortage of available content material to be utilized with those units. While television manufacturers have surged ahead in the 3D market, movie TV and companies networks have already been left in the dust. There just isn't that much content on the market to fuel televisions product sales. Without quality content, the market can't sustain itself.

Expensive Technology

To place things simply, technology is expensive. The brand new 3D TV's are no exception. With a price range visible above high-finish LCD TV's, it's tough to see the general middle-class consumer buying in to it. When the technology behind the merchandise is just so new especially. Argue with me all you want, 3D technology has JUST begun to be pursued. And while it's been around for a long time, it offers begun to be implemented inside the tech marketplace just. Only period will tell if customers will buy in.
