Note that for the Linux version /home/wera/etc/params.cfg is the new location where params.cfg should live. Also check carefully which entries in params.cfg should now go to /home/wera/etc/ .
Reads all information needed on the measurement from the header and from
Values in PARAM_UV.CFG / params.cfg:
VARX = 1.5 !Variance of radial comp must be less [m/s]
MAX_RAD_CUR = 2.5 !Maximum radial current allowed [m/s]
STEER_001 = 60 !+/- max steering angle [degrees]
MAX_RAD_CUR is used by wera16_spec_rad to limit the radial component
of the current. (Grid points with higher current velocities are marked as
'gap'.)

Program writes binary (unformatted) data which are incompatible between Linux <--> VMS platforms. To transfer the data, first convert them to ASCII (Radial2ASCII), then use FTP in ASCII mode, and convert back to binary (ASCII2Radial).
Program expects 'FMSPEC' header code and writes 'FMRADG' header code.
Look here for a complete list of header codes.
