A second optional parameter can be used to pass the name of a configuration file. This file must be located in ~/etc e.g. ~/etc/params_oms.cfg . If no optional parameter is supplied, the configuration is read from ~/etc/params.cfg .
The measurement_file.USORT passed to Plott_WERA_USort_RCs is the starting point of a series of 128 samples data sets to be combined. The first figure gives the range-Doppler map of just the first .USORT file (128 samples). The second figure gives the result of combining it with the next coherent .USORT file (256 samples). This process is continued until four .USORT files are combined (512 samples). From this time on, the oldest .USORT file is removed from the combining process and the next one is added to keep a timeseries of 512 samples. This process is repeated until the first gap in the coherent stream of .USORT files is found.
As the data is unsorted and uncalibrated, the calibration file has to be passed in [params*.cfg], see below. If CALF_nnn is not defined, the default file /home/wera/etc/calibration.wera' is used.
Please ensure to pass the correct calibration file to Plott_WERA_USort_RCs.
Plott_WERA_USort_RCs reads all information needed on number of channels, length of timeseries, etc. from the header (first 512 bytes of data file) and the following parameters for PARAM_UV.CFG (VMS) or /home/wera/etc/params.cfg (Linux):
Values in PARAM_UV.CFG or /home/wera/etc/params.cfg:
AUTO_SCALE = .TRUE. !.true. = use auto scale
C Name of WERA Gain File
C
GAIN_NAME = '/home/wera/etc/wera_gain.dat'
! calibration file
CALF_001 = '/home/wera/etc/calibration_buesum.wera'

The output of the program gives information on:
Frequency : WERA center operating frequency NSER : Number of samples T_chirp : Duration of a chirp -> sample rate F_bragg : Bragg frequency Last RC : Last range cell number RANGEresol : Range resolution RAN_OFF : Range cell offset to compensate for cable length TRUE_NORTH : Geographical direction of the linear array SSR : Start seconds of the timeseries |
A series of figures can be generated for each beam direction:
1st figure (128 samples)
2nd figure (256 samples)
3rd figure (384 samples)
4th figure (512 samples)
The dynamic range shown in the figures has a fixed reference point:
The ADC's maximum input voltage of +/-10 Volts * Gain Ramp refers to 0 dB.
