WERA HF Radar Software - Configuration File
The configuration file is the common point for the software package to
adjust parameters and names to a specific experiment. Not all parameters
are used by all programs, e.g. the 4 edges of the map are only used by the
plot program Plott_uv. The file name of the configuration file is
/home/wera/etc/params.cfg with Linux and Param_UV.cfg with VMS.
To save configuration files from different experiments, simply copy them to
e.g. /home/wera/etc/params_Gijon.cfg for the Gijon experiment.
You can use the given example as a template
and modify it for another experiment. The names of the variables are
case-sensitive: use upper case only.
The mapping between site-dependent parameters (e.g. ARR1_001, ARR1_002 ...) and the actual measurement
is done by searching the site location given in the measurement header inside params.cfg . The LAT/LON
coordinates must fit within 500 m. The site number identified in this way is used to select all site-dependent parameters.
Here you find a detailed description of each parameter.
